The Studio
KALD — Norwegian for cold — is a studio practice based in Oslo. We design heavyweight garments around a single idea: clothing as quiet architecture. Built to last decades, not seasons.
Every release begins with a material study. We work with mills across Austria on heavyweight fleeces, brushed cottons, and considered hardware. Each capsule is small, intentional, and never restocked in the same form.
Nordic Utility
A philosophy of less.
Nordic Utility is the principle that guides KALD. Garments that solve a problem — warmth, weight, longevity — and refuse decoration. Restraint as the loudest statement.
